Why I built this
I was helping a G2 + 313D licensed tech on residential AC installs and service calls across the GTA. He's good at his job. He knows his work cold. But the phone kept ringing while he was working. He couldn't pick up, so those calls went to voicemail. By the time he called back, the leads were already booked with someone else.
That's when I decided to build Avidra. You can't answer the phone when both your hands are on the job.
The honest version
I'm in the final semester of the HVAC/R Technician program at Centennial College. I have a G3 Gas Technician license from TSSA and an ODP card for refrigerant handling. I've worked alongside licensed techs in the GTA as a helper, not as the lead.
Avidra isn't built by someone who read about the trades. It's built by someone who's been on the truck. That's why the site sounds the way it does.
